Application deadline: Feb. 29 Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows active in the PABMB Now accepting applications for the Promoting Research Opportunities for Latin American Biochemists (PROLAB) program.   The PROLAB program gives graduate students and postdoctoral fellows the opportunity to spend up to six months in U.S. or Canadian laboratories. The application deadline is Feb. 29. Learn more The PROLAB program helps participants:  Get access to technologies and expertise that may not be readily available in their home countries.  Grow their skills.  Contribute to the development of life sciences capabilities at home. Trainees and new investigators (not more than five years past postdoctoral work) from all countries active in the PABMB, including Spain and Portugal, are invited to apply.   Read about last year's PROLAB award recipients. Con profundo pesar, les comunicamos que el día 26 de noviembre falleció la Dra. Estela E. Machado.
La Dra. Machado dedicó su vida a la docencia e investigación en el Departamento de Biología Molecular de la FCEFQyN de la UNRC. Ha sido mentora de docentes e investigadores actuales, y fue también miembro de la Comisión Directiva de nuestra Sociedad.

Desde la comisión Directiva de la SAIB hacemos llegar nuestro saludo a toda su familia y amigos y los acompañamos en el dolor de su despedida.
